A classic, family run, community 'boozer' with a warm and friendly atmosphere, The Hare & Hounds has two rooms - a bar area with darts and dominoes and unassuming TV area - then there is also a lounge area with pleasant surroundings to sit and chat with a drink.
The pub is 2 minutes walk from Hindley railway station in one direction and Hindley town centre in the other.
The Hare & Hounds has a strong cask ale policy, with 5 hand pumps serving All Gates ales and regular revolving guests from around the UK.
Outside, there is a small beer garden with ample covered area for poor weather conditions (smoking area).
