The Globe Inn was purchased in mid 2007 and presently remains closed. Planning permission was granted in late 2007 for major building works and extensive refurbishment and rebuilding works are expected to commence in September 2010.
The work will include the complete refurbishment of the building along with a large rear extension providing a new dining space, new kitchen and new customer and staff WCs. Additional parking and an extensive beer garden and patio area with outside seating has also been approved. The existing 4 small bar areas will be retained.
The Globe will stock a range of AllGates cask ales along with draught lagers, Real Ciders and an extensive range of bottled lagers, spirits, and fine wines.
